There are a few things we’d recommend you think about before booking a destination wedding in Costa Rica.
First, make sure you hire a professional planner. Things are done differently in Costa Rica, and they can help you navigate that. At Villa Punto de Vista, we actually require our couples to have a planner because it makes everything go much more smoothly. We recommend vendors who we’ve worked with for years and trust!
Second, don’t assume your wedding is going to be more affordable in Costa Rica. Weddings here are pretty on par with the U.S. cost-wise.
Third, if you want to get married on the beach in Costa Rica, as many do when they come to our beautiful country, think about the tides, the season, and the sunset times. These will all impact the amount of beach available and photo opportunities. We have a beautiful beach just minutes from the villa, where many of our couples decide to do post-ceremony shots after a beautiful rooftop reception overlooking the jungle and the sea!
